Master’s Ranch Girls Academy
Open Hearts – Listen, Learn, Heal
Master’s Ranch offers experienced group and individual counseling throughout the week, including trained mentors who offer Biblical, truth-based guidance each day.
Our professional staff uses an informal approach to counseling, often with the outdoors as the setting. Because at-risk girls need someone trustworthy who will listen to her without judgment, mentors engage the girls as a friend they can talk to. This caring approach makes ongoing counseling seem unthreatening as she actively learns, works and plays. We also advise parents on how to integrate these positive character and relationship building ideas at home as well.
And working with people isn’t all your girl will do at Master’s Ranch Girls Academy! We also include responsible care and interaction with horses and other animals as part of her therapy in anger management, and for healing problems with emotional attachment.
Our 30 years of experience working with troubled teens helps us focus on at-risk teen girls dealing with anger and related behavioral issues. Most of the girls in our care are those diagnosed with RAD, ADD, ADHD, or are self-destructive. Many suffer from traumatic events, such as adoption, family separation, and dysfunctional relationships.
At-risk teen girls accepted at Master’s Ranch typically display:
- Anxious, or rebellious behavior
- Academic failings or loss of interest
- Poor choice of peers
- Verbal abuse
- Manipulation, lying
- Defiant choices
- Dissociative or self-destructive behavior
For the safety of the staff and other girls, we do not accept violent offenders, arsons, sexual offenders, suicidal girls, or girls with severe psychological issues requiring regular psychiatric care.
